I have a huge announcement that I have been waiting to share! I am super excited that I can finally go ahead with announcing this as everything is now set in place and confirmed.

So, as some of you may know, I am a second-year student and I have been studying in Montreal over the past two years. I have loved my time here and I am so happy that I have been fortunate enough to study in this beautiful city and meet some great people.

But….. the time has come to say goodbye to my friends, to my tiny studio apartment, to my school, and to Montreal. After much thought, research and anticipation, I am taking a giant leap and I will be moving to SWITZERLAND!!! I am ready to take on new challenges and adventures and I can’t wait to make new memories.

I was lucky enough to receive a job as an Au Pair with a great family.

On top of this job, I will also be taking German classes at a language school as I want to integrate into the culture and learn about it as much as I can while living in a new country. In Switzerland, there are many different languages/dialects spoken including French, German, Italian, and Romansh. I already speak French so now I will be working on improving my German! (Ich brauche wirklich die Übung…)

Other than the new work experiences I will gain, I am so excited to move to a new place to explore and discover new things. I love learning about different cultures and lifestyles and I am looking forward to being immersed into something very different from the culture of Montreal.

I think this will also be a great step forward into my future as I would love to work with kids someday and this experience will (hopefully) help me to pursue that goal. It has always been a goal of mine to travel to new places as much as I can and I am so lucky to have this opportunity.
